Hi, I’m Joey Yee, born and raised in San Francisco. I hold a BA in Cinema and Digital Media with a minor in Communications from UC Davis. During my time there, I cultivated my passion for visual storytelling by creating compelling visual content for social media. Through this experience, I gained a deep understanding of user engagement and how companies can enhance their brand to meet their evolving needs.
In my previous role as a Digital Marketing Fellow at Fort Worth Report, I consistently updated the website to enhance visual appeal and user-friendliness, resulting in a significant reduction in bounce rate and improved user engagement. Additionally, I designed content for marketing campaigns such as North Texas Giving Day, monthly photo contests, and news event social posts.
Furthermore, I volunteer as the Media and Communication Director for Bright Knights Chess Club, a nonprofit providing chess education and mentorship to underprivileged youth. In this capacity, I design and maintain the website, create promotional materials, and coordinate media outreach.
I am eager to pursue new challenges and opportunities in the digital marketing and social media field, leveraging my creative talents and analytical abilities to help businesses connect with their customers and achieve their goals.
